Our Weekend

Since moving into our house we've made quite a few homemade meals. On Friday we went all out, using one of Martha Stewart's recipes, the recipe found HERE. Please don't look at Martha's recipe pictures before mine, because of course hers is going to look much better. But we made a Mexican Potato Omelet. And yes, it was delicious! We realized afterward we forgot salt and pepper, and decided there needs to be a bit more potatoes but over all it was delicious to say the least. Also we watching this movie for maximum entertainment...
It was as we were eating our lovely omelet and watching LOTR on our futon that we realized we really need a table. We do have limited space but the next day we rearranged some things so that a table would fit perfectly. We knew it had to be small, we knew it had to be compact and we knew we would find just the right one at Ikea, and we did. After eating their breakfast, which we've both never tried (I had yummy eggs with potatoes and french toast sticks, Colin got my bacon, his biscuit and gravy with eggs and potatoes), we browsed through Ikea finally setting on one great table.
awesome storage space!also picked up these chairs and seat cushions! Mugwomp likes them too

We also picked up some Tupperware, mixing bowls, bathmat, and some dishes. And that was our weekend!

Things I Love

So I woke up way too early on a Saturday morning, 7 am to be exact. Colin is off to work and I'm wide awake and getting bored. So I decided to take pictures, I know its lame and cheesy, but here are some of the things I love in my apartment...

My yoga mat...
My desk organizer...
My water bottle...
My crocs...even though colin thinks their funny...
This picture...
Colin's coffee in the morning...couldn't live without it...
The blockade we make for mugwomp while were gone...its sad but she has to stay in the bathroom while were gone because she'll pee on the couch...
The xbox...for L4D and Fable II...
My dresser/inside dresser drawers...it took forever to put the drawer liners in the 10 drawers...
Our portable air conditioner...
Our bed...
Our little family...

Back To School Clothes

One of the things I love about Fall is going back to school. And one of the things I love about going back to school is justifying spending money on "back to school clothes". So I did, I went back to school shopping and actually got some very nice things for not very much money. So here is the long post of the new clothes I bought...(shoes still need to be purchased)

Lucky Brand: much needed jeans (compliments of the bf, my other jeans ripped), Old Navy: black skinnies
Banana Republic: Pj shirt, gray v neck
Luck Brand: slouchy tees, blue and black (its so nice getting a discount at retail stores and not have to work there! thanks colin!)
Forever 21: gray sweatshirt (fits so nicely)
Old Navy: flower white tank, argyle cardigan

The outfit I wore today...
Banana Republic: cardigan, Levi: skinny jeans

Parlez Vous Gossip?

Its officially less than a week until Gossip Girl Season 4, season premiere is to air. I know, I can't wait either. We left off in kind of a mess, Chuck was shot, Blair and Serena were jet setting to Le Paris. True, I still haven't been able to watch all of season 3, but it doesn't mean I'm excluded to be excited about the next season. I'm still hoping it will magically appear on my doorstep in time for me to watch it before next Monday. While we wait for Season 4, and I wait for my magical package, here is a video I found via Tumblr.com. A preview of all the clothes the cast will be wearing, and how their personal style has changed since they arrived in Paris.

Eeeek!! I couldn't be more excited. Here are a few pictures from the new episode. Bonjour Paris!
I don't believe anyone has looked sexier with a cane

The Doobie Brothers Concert

The keyboardist from The Doobie Brothers ended up going into Lucky Jeans, where Colin is a manager, and him and Colin began talking. Along with Coling being a great salesman, he's an excellent talker. So as they were talking the guy mentioned he was in town for the Doobie Brother, and that he was in the band. The guy ended up getting Colin and I tickets to the sold out show and VIP seats! (they were nice chairs on the upper grassy area). We got to the show, got our wrist bands, entered the VIP section. Half way through we decided to join the crowd down at the front. It was nice cause it was an older crowd so there weren't any pushy people, but there were pleanty of great dancers. So we got to enjoy the show, pretty much front row! The show was amazing, the artists were fantastic, it was just such a fun concert. Sadly there was no cameras allowed, but I tried to take one with my phone, but it didn't turn out so well.

Fall, Yet Again...

Its fall, again. I know it only feels like a couple months ago it was last fall, but believe me, its been an entire year! I'm finally starting school again up at Salt Lake Community College. Its my second week and already I feel the work load. My days are spend either in school, doing school work, working, and trying to find time with Colin. I have classes almost everyday of the week, Monday's and Wednesday I have Humanities Through the 60's, English, and French. Then Tuesday/Thursdays is a Strength and Toning class. All of my classes are going to be fun, but also a full schedule. I've yet to buy back to school things, besides a backpack, but here is a wish list of things I would like for the school year...
Also I'm having trouble finding time to get to the gym, ugh why do I never have enough time to workout anymore. But soon I will be on a set schedule and I'll have everything under control. So this is to the beginning of the next 2 years of schooling!
