I finally got a new bed and I couldn't be more excited! Its the one I've been wanting from IKEA. I got a queen rather than a full and it takes up most of the space in my room. But I love how large it is, I get to literally hop into bed every night. I'm blogging on it right now and I still have a bunch of room on it. Its a little firm but I bought a nice pillow top from Target and also found some green organic sheets that match my bedding! But sadly they a bit too small...I need to learn to read labels better. But I will try and go back to find some that actually fit my bed this time. Here are some pictures of my lovely new bed. Also I got a new wallet, given to me by my brothers new girlfriend, but I absolutely adore it! Its my new favourite accessory!

The Invisible Man
Liu Bolin is an artist from China who got his art studio shut down in 2005. He says "his art is a protest against the actions of the Government...It’s about not fitting into modern society.(odditycentral.com)". Its amazing, all he does is paint himself, took me a while to find him in the last one...Check it out here.

The Graveyard Book
I finished, after about a month of reading, The Graveyard Book by the amazing author Neil Gaiman. The book is about a baby, whose family is murdered by "a man named Jack", he survives by crawling out of bed and into a graveyard. He is adopted by the local ghosts, they give him the name Nobody (Bod) and give him the rights of the graveyard. Bod is watched over by his new mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Owens and his neither dead nor living guardian, Silas. The story follows Bod growing up, his adventures in and out of the graveyard and the ever present threat of the man Jack who still hunts him. The book is very fun, I loved the characters, all the ghosts, especially the local witch ghost, Elizabeth "Liza" Hepstock. And of course Bod and Silas and their unique relationship together. I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a good adventure and Neil Gaiman's page turning books.

Resolutions
Its officially 2010 and I've decided to post my New Years Resolutions.
1. Loose Weight (I believe this is everyones goal, but I intend to stick to it. I am running almost everyday and just need the extra weight training and body toning for the rest, so this is a realistic goal, and I will be ready for swimsuit season.)
2. Save Money (This is a big one, I now have a steady job and income so hopefully I can pull this one off.)
3. Buy New Clothes (You may think this isn't a goal but it is, let me explain, I am at the point where all my clothes either aren't my style or are getting over worn. So I am in desperate need of new clothes, so the money saving goal should come in handy for this.)
4. Blog More (I will try to post more eventful happenings etc.)
5. Buy A Bed And My Own Place (This one is important, if not sometime soon then by the time I start school in the fall.)
6. Go Green! (I can do this by remembering my reusable bags more and recycling too!)
7. Take Up A Hobby (Sewing has been my new project so I will get a jump start on that and finally break out the sewing machine.)
8. Read (I will make more time to read.)
9. Be More Awesome (Not that it should be too hard.)
Last And Final
10.Travel (I want to travel somewhere I've never been before, by the time the year is out.)

Meaghan & Maximus's Shower
On Saturday, January 2nd, I had the privilege of throwing my sister a baby shower for her and her son Maximus Conway Morris. It was very fun, all of our old friends showed up and we played fun games and gave away cute prizes. Ben, my brother, made some delicious food, goat cheese fingerling potatoes, bruchetta and Parmesan crisps and for dessert brownie bites with homemade cream cheese frosting and raspberries and a raspberry sauce. It was 2 hours of fun, food and catching up. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did!
